Gender: Male
Primary qualifications: MBBS (1998) MRCGP DRCOG DCH
Special interests: General medicine, paediatrics, musculoskeletal problems, exercise and self-care.
I was brought up in the South West and went to school in Minehead. I studied medicine at St George's, London, qualifying in 1998.
I initially enrolled on a surgical rotation, but after working in A&E I realised I enjoyed all aspects of medicine and so decided to pursue a more generalist career. Prior to becoming a GP, I got experience in most hospital specialties both in the UK and Australia. Before joining The Family Practice in 2014, I spent eight years as a partner in Clevedon.
I work one session per week for Brisdoc out of hours service, and supervise GP trainees.
My clinical interests are general medicine, paediatrics, musculoskeletal problems, exercise and self-care.
I am the practice lead for One Care, safeguarding and minor surgery.
I have two children and two dogs which keep me busy. I enjoy trail running and mountain biking. I have completed a Half Ironman. I'm interested in nature and agriculture.
